My (ex)girlfriend and I were talking about biking clothes and how hideous they are. Lycra, bright colors, advertisements on jerseys, strange fits and hems. Yuck. There are, however, a few people trying to change that. below are a few links to cycling fashion blogs and articles.
Copenhagen Cycle Chic is probably the best bike fashion blog: http://www.copenhagencyclechic.com/ It's based in Europe -so there you go- but it's also updated regularly and has a lot of cool ideas.
Here's a good article by the Wall Street Journal: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703421204576331264272981804.html
I know I link Brooks a lot, but they do have some nice men's clothes: http://www.brooksengland.com/catalogue-and-shop/clothing/
Their women's line leaves a bit to be desired though.
I'll add more links as I find them. If you know any good bike fashion websites or ideas, please leave a comment.
3/16/2012 Update: I found some more links to cool cycling street-wear.
Here's the Levi commuter line: http://us.levi.com/family/index.jsp?categoryId=11844101&sr=1&origkw=cycling
And here's some stuff from Outlier, a women's cycling casual clothes designer: http://shop.outlier.cc/shop/retail/women-s-daily-riding-pant.html
Also, I really like these men's casual shoes from Dromarti and Quoc Pham
